IN HONOR OF THE NBA FINALS: ALL NBA TEAM

The NBA Finals start tonight, so in honor of the rematch between the Spurs and the Heat, I thought I would do an all NBA Team, with the top players at each position.  Enjoy!

POINT GUARD: MAGIC JOHNSON - Magic defined what made the Lakers "Showtime."  Kareem was excellent, Worthy was special, but the team never would have won those titles without Magic.  He was truly a wizard with the basketball.

SHOOTING GUARD:  MICHAEL JORDAN - If you didn't have MJ as a top 5 player just stop reading right now.  He's the best player ever.  Period.  It's not even up for discussion, the guy won 6 championships and he could have won 8 if he didn't take a break off to pursue baseball.  This Wilmington, NC native is so popular, people still buy his shoes, 15 years after he retired.  If you are in your late 20s-30s and didn't dream of being Michael Jordan in a basketball game, then you didn't play basketball.

SMALL FORWARD:  LEBRON JAMES - King James is arguably the best current player on the planet right now.  I know Durant won the MVP, but I think most people would agree James is a better overall player.  Other than "The Decision" right now the guy has been the model of a good player and teammate.  He passes, he plays defense, he scores, and he makes the players around him better.  He's got some hurdles to overcome to pass Jordan, but it's hard to deny he's a top 5 player of all time already.

POWER FORWARD:  KARL MALONE - This was a tough contest between Malone and Duncan.  Tim has the rings, which is usually the deciding factor, but there's no way the Jazz would have even made the playoffs without the Mail Man.  If they didn't have to play "His Airness" the Jazz would have at least 2 rings.  Malone is 2nd in scoring in NBA History; while he owes a lot to John Stockton, it's hard to leave him off this list.

CENTER:  KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR - Kareem leads the NBA in scoring.  That alone should get him on this list.  He was the MVP 6 times, also a NBA record.  He won 6 NBA titles and 2 as an assistant.  But don't you dare say he doesn't work hard enough on defense, that lots of times he doesn't even run down the court, or that he doesn't really try, except during The Playoffs.

Hope y'all enjoy the NBA Finals.  This should be a very good series.
