The Indiana Jones Trilogy and Traveling Abroad

Traveling abroad is not for the faint of heart.  It's exciting but can also be extremely dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.  The Indiana Jones Trilogy (the 4th movie did not happen) is arguably the best trilogy in the history of cinema.  So here are some important lessons when traveling overseas.

1.  Make sure you know know the value of something before you pick it up.

2.  Try and avoid confrontations with the locals.  However, if you've got to get into a fight, don't fight fair and make sure to make a hasty exit.

3.  If you drink something offered to you by someone you don't know, make sure it's not poison; and if it is, make sure you have a diamond to trade for the antidote to the poison you just drank...MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

4.  Try some of the local cuisine.

5.  But don't go crazy.

6.  Try something new.

7.  But don't abandon all sanity.

8.  Carry your passport/ticket on you at all times.

9.  Try not to be the Ugly American.  If someone says something, that you disagree with or think is completely stupid, remain polite and courteous.

10.  If you get the chance to go on a boat...think...you know what...the hell with it.  If you get the chance to go on a boat, you go on a boat.  Especially, in Venice.  You can deal with the consequences later.
