Alright, I know this is late, but I was up until 2 AM last night watching the Ole Miss-Alabama game. Denver already played Kansas City, and pulled out a comeback win due to a late fumble by Jamal Charles. Denver's 2-0, but they could easily be 0-2. Meanwhile, Peyton has clearly lost some zip on his fastball, but with that defense, the Broncos should be ok. So let's get to today's games.

Houston
at Carolina -3
Auburn sure could have used Cam yesterday. Even though Newton didn't look good in Week 1, the Panthers still got a double digit win. With Luke Kuechly out this week, Carolina's defense is going to have a challenge, but Houston is starting Ryan Mallett, so that's pretty much an even trade off. What's really going to be interesting is how Michael Oher and the Panthers' offensive line fairs against JJ Watt. Expect a lot of quick short passes and runs to the other side of the field. Panthers should win this game in a close one and barely cover.

San Francisco
at Pittsburgh -5
I think the 49ers come back down to earth this week against the Steelers, and I can't see Pittsburgh starting 0-2. Big Ben should be good again today, and it will be intriguing to see if Deangelo Williams can keep up the type of play he had in Week 1. Steelers win and cover.

Tampa Bay
at New Orleans -9.5
Tampa Bay looked awful against Tennessee last week, and this week they'll have to head to The Big Easy to see if they can beat Drew Brees and the Saints. 9 1/2 points is a lot of points to give and Jameis will be better, especially with Mike Evans playing, but I think the Saints win this one by 10 and cover the spread. Look for Brandin Cooks to get a lot of touches.

Detroit
at Minnesota -2.5
Dear Minnesota, RUN THE BALL. You have AP; if you only run the ball 10 times, you're going to lose. I think they correct things this week and you see a heavy dose of Peterson. Matt Stafford will throw for a lot of yards, but being that this game is at Minnesota, the Vikings get the win by 3 and cover.

Arizona -2
at Chicago
Arizona is the better team. Even on the road they'll win and cover. I think Chicago keep it close until the 2nd half, but Carson Palmer and the Cards pull away and win by a touchdown.

Patriots
at Bills -1
I've gone back and forth on this game all week. Rex Ryan usually plays the Pats very close, and Buffalo has some swagger after beating the Colts in Week 1. Still, it's hard to pick against Brady and New England over Tyrod Taylor. I don't think he's going to sustain good performances on a consistent basis throughout the year. He'll have some growing pains. Take the Pats in a close one.

San Diego
at Cincinnati -3.5
It's a regular season game, and San Diego has to travel to Cincy....give me Andy Dalton and the Bengals. Rivers falls behind again, and the Chargers have to play catch up, but unlike last week, the Bengals hold off a late charge. I think the Bengals cover the spread and win by a touchdown.

Tennessee -1
at Cleveland
I think Tennessee is better than Cleveland. I think Marcus Mariota is better than Johnny Football, but I think this is a quirky game, and Johnny Football gets his first ever NFL win and the Browns beat the Tennessee Titans.

Atlanta
at New York Giants -2.5
Atlanta looked much improved in Week 1, and the Giants have serious issues on defense, but this is one where Eli and the Giants bounce back and get a win at Met Life. Odell Beckham, Jr. should have a big day as the Giants beat the Falcons to move to 1-1.

St. Louis -3
at Washington
Tre Mason is set to go for the Rams, but Todd Gurley is a game-time decision. I think St. Louis is better, but I think the Redskins somehow find a way to win this game. That front 7 for St. Louis is very good and very physical, and this game should be a grind it out struggle for both teams. Washington wins by a field goal late.

Miami -6
at Jacksonville
Neither of these teams looked overly impressive in Week 1. The Dolphins didn't really light it up against Washington, and Jacksonville looked awful against Carolina. The Jaguars offensive line is going to struggle all day with Suh and that Dolphins defense. Miami wins with better talent and personnel and they cover the spread.

Baltimore -4.5
at Oakland
Baltimore made the sound decision to stay on the west coast after their game against Denver, so they wouldn't have a short week and have to fly across country twice. Oakland has to be better than they were last week, but they still aren't good enough to beat the Ravens. Baltimore wins and covers, but the Raiders look much improved from their loss to Cincy.

Dallas
at Philadelphia -6
Philadelphia blew the game against the Falcons on Monday night, while Dallas stole a win from New York in Jerry's World. I think this one is a breakout game for the Eagles and they beat Dallas in convincing fashion. With no Dez Bryant, the Eagles will double Jason Witten and bring pressure on Romo all afternoon. Take the Eagles and the points.

Seattle
at Green Bay -3
Green Bay All Day. The Packers want this game so bad they can taste it. Meanwhile, Seattle's distractions have hurt their chemistry and they lost to a St. Louis team they shouldn't have. Facing Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy is not going to be a fun day. The Packers win and cover at home on Sunday night.

New York Jets
at Indianapolis -7
Andrew Luck isn't going to have another let down game for the second week in a row. He'll throw for his usual number of yards and the Colts win this game by a touchdown. T.Y. Hilton is optimistic he'll play on Monday night, which would be a huge boost for the Colts.
Here's to the 2nd Week of NFL Football. Cheers!
