We're 2 days away from the start of the season, even though we got a nice preview in Montana upsetting the North Dakota State Bison last week. I'm only predicting the Power 5 conferences in this blog, because other than maybe Notre Dame and Boise State, the mid majors aren't really that interesting and have zero chance at making the playoff. So without further interruption let's find out how the conferences will stack up and who's going to the playoff!

FSU picks right up where it left off and wins the Atlantic, despite losing in Death Valley. Clemson does what Clemson does...playing very well, but missing out on greatness. They beat FSU at home, but slip up with 2 more losses that cost them an ACC Division title. NC State has a very good year, but isn't a real threat to the win the division. Louisville continues to grow under Petrino, while Syracuse, BC, and Wake Forest all miss out on bowl games.

2. Duke 8-4
3. VA Tech 7-5
4. North Carolina 6-6

Chizik can't fix the UNC defense overnight and the Tar Heels are going bowling, but barely. Al Golden is given his walking papers as Miami goes 5-7. Pitt continues to rebuild. The Mike London era is over in Charlottesville as the Cavs have one of the hardest schedules in the nation.
