Throughout the season I'm going to try and make predictions for each week's games. Additionally, I'll likely be making SEC predictions for College Football. I realize I missed the first week of SEC games, and I'll try and be better, but most if not all the games were pretty predictable. Let's take a look at this week's games in The League.
THURSDAY NIGHT

Pittsburgh
at New England -6
This game being in Foxboro, with Tom Brady riding a pretty big high after getting a favorable court ruling, I'm going with New England to win the game and cover. 6 points is a lot, but New England should cover. They are looking to make a statement Thursday night.

Green Bay -4
at Chicago
I think this game is closer than it should be but Aaron Rodgers is 12-3 against Chicago. Even with the game being on the road, I think the Packers get the win and cover the spread. Randall Cobb is playing hurt, but he'll still be a big factor and the Packers will find a way to win.

Kansas City
at Houston - 1 1/2
This game is pretty much a push. Kansas City is clearly the better team, but I think Houston will play really well at home for their first game and get a gritty win by playing sound conservative football. This looks like a 3 point win, but that should cover the spread for the Texans.

Cleveland
at NY Jets - 1 1/2
Ah, the saddest game of the weekend. The Jets playing at home gives them the edge against the Browns. These two starting QBs are both game managers at best, but I think the Jets have a better defense and slightly better receivers. This game has 14-10 written all over it. Take the Jets at home.

Indianapolis -2 1/2
at Buffalo
I'm calling this the upset of the week. Indy is clearly the better team, but I believe the Bills will get up for Rex's first game and ground and pound the ball to an upset victory. Luck will struggle to build chemistry with Andre Johnson in their first game together, but it won't last long.

Miami -2
at Washington
I'm not saying this is a guaranteed win for Miami, but if the Dolphins don't win this game by at least 2 points, they are in for big trouble this year. Counsins will get better as the year goes on, and the Redskins will play clock management with a heavy dose of the run, but Miami is just more talented in just about every area of the game.

Carolina -4
at Jacksonville
I think the Panthers win this game, but they don't cover the spread. Carolina is better than Jacksonville, but they'll struggle to throw the ball and have to rely heavily on their defense to keep them in games.

Seattle -4
at St. Louis
The Seahawks as of this post are going to be without Kam Chancellor. I don't think that means they lose, but I don't think they'll blow out the Rams either. This game looks to be a full of running, with doses of Jimmy Graham making sideline catches mixed in. The Seahawks cover, but just barely.

New Orleans
at Arizona - 2 1/2
If this game was in The Big Easy, I'd pick the Saints, but going to the desert and having to beat a team with a good defense and a motivated QB is going to be difficult. This should be a fun game to watch. Arizona's defense makes a late stop to hold on for the win and cover the spread.
Detroit
at San Diego -2
Detroit usually doesn't play well on the road outside of their dome, but I think Melvin Gordon will struggle in this first game and the Lions will get a victory on the road. Get ready for a Megatron highlight reel.

Tennessee
at Tampa Bay -3
I think Winston gets the better of Mariota in the first game of the season. The Bucs have better wideouts, and they have a better running back. Both QBs will make mistakes on Sunday, but Winston will make some better throws while Mariota will be more conservative. Tampa covers at Raymond James.

Cincinnati -3
at Oakland
The Bengals head to The Black Hole and being that this is not a playoff game Andy Dalton will play well and the Bengals will win. Oakland will look much improved with Amari Cooper having a big day, but they'll fall short against Cincy.

Baltimore
at Denver -4 1/2
Peyton will be throwing plenty in this game, but you'll also see a lot of CJ Anderson. The Ravens will stick to the ground as well, and focus on Steve Smith, Sr. on 3rd downs. Denver wins this one in surprising fashion and covers the spread thanks to TDs by Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.

NY Giants
at Dallas -6
The NY Giants have serious issues of defense. The Dallas Cowboys have serious issues at running back. With reports that Eli is about to get paid, and fans looking forward to the Odell Beckham, Jr. vs. Dez Bryant matchup, this game is poised for prime time. I think Dallas wins, but only by a field goal as they fail to cover the spread.

Philadelphia -1
at Atlanta
Take Philly. If they don't win this game, they've got issues. I know Atlanta is really good in the Georgia Dome, but Philly looked unstoppable this preseason. With a line that pretty much begs people to take Philly, I don't see how you don't take the Eagles.

Minnesota
at San Francisco -4
I know a lot of people, including myself, are down on the 49ers and high on the Vikings, but I think this line is about right. I think it will take a couple weeks to get AP back to his old form. Meanwhile, I think the 49ers will have a surprise the Vikings out of the gate. I think the 49ers win, but just barely, and fail to cover the spread.
