Today is the day Oxford and ESPN have been waiting for. Everyone who has ever been to Ole Miss for a football game knows the tailgating is elite, if not the best in the country. Ole Miss football hasn't given Gameday many excuses to make the trip to Oxford, but sitting at No. 11 in the country with the first 4-0 record in 4 decades and playing No. 3 Alabama is a pretty good reason to head to The Grove. So, without further ado, here's my take on Gameday today, October 4, 2014.
Why has Gameday hyped up Ole Miss so much, and why are they so glad they are finally coming to Oxford? I'll give you 3 of the main reasons.

Additionally, the tailgating isn't hot dogs and hamburgers, it's a full on Thanksgiving Day Southern Living/Garden and Gun spread.

These people have a damn chandelier hanging from a pop up tent. This isn't an anomaly it's the standard in the more upscale tents.

Plus, you can pretty much walk up to anyone's tent and start a conversation and they'll likely offer you a drink and whatever food you want. On Saturdays it is arguably the most hospitable place on earth.

Alright now, let's get to the game. Bama is a 4.5-6 point favorite heading into the game. They've absolutely owned the Rebels in their match ups throughout the year. So, are they going to continue to disappoint Ole Miss fans everywhere by winning in Oxford today?

Ole Miss is going to pull the upset today, and here's why. Blake Sims is not 100%. This is his first true road game. This Bama team is clearly not as good as the last few Bama teams. Dr. Bo has been Jekyll and Hyde all season, but Ole Miss has won every game by at least 21 points. Do you remember the last time Ole Miss could play bad and still win by 3 TDs? You can't, because it's never freaking happened. The reason for that, is the Ole Miss defense which has given up 34 total points so far this year in 4 games. That's stout. They've given up 1 TD in 4 games and that was in garbage time against the 2nd team defense. Amari Cooper is phenomenal, but he hasn't had to face a safety like Cody Prewitt before. That kid hits like a mack truck going down a mountain with no brakes.
So Bama, I hope you're ready for a lot of this:
